Copywriter

1-800-FLOWERS.COM, Inc. is looking for a creative, detail-oriented Copywriter to support compelling storytelling across our family of brands—including and Personalization Mall. This role plays an important part in shaping brand voice and delivering clear, engaging messages that inspire customer action across digital marketing channels.

The ideal candidate understands how to adapt tone and messaging by channel (email, web, social, paid media, etc.) and audience type (acquisition, retention, reactivation) while staying true to each brand's identity. This role requires someone who can balance creativity with performance—writing copy that expresses brand values while supporting traffic, conversion, and revenue goals.

• Write compelling, conversion-focused copy for omnichannel marketing campaigns that align with performance and brand goals.
• Translate creative and business briefs into clear, effective messaging tailored to channel and audience.
• Maintain a consistent, brand-appropriate voice across all customer touchpoints—including product storytelling, campaign taglines, CRM personalization, and marketing content.
• Contribute to campaign ideation and editorial content planning as needed.
• Self-edit with accuracy and clarity, incorporating feedback thoughtfully and efficiently during fast-paced review cycles.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners (Marketing, Creative, CRM, Product, etc.) to develop, test, and refine messaging.
• Manage multiple deadlines simultaneously with strong attention to detail.

• Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in copywriting, editorial, or related marketing/creative roles.
• Experience writing for lifestyle and/or retail brands preferred.
• Strong creative storytelling skills paired with a performance-driven mindset.
• Ability to adapt voice and tone across various channels and audiences.
• Proven ability to write clear, persuasive, and conversion-focused copy.
• Excellent communication, editing, and time-management skills.
• Portfolio showcasing diverse writing samples across marketing channels.

The expected hourly range for this position is $34.00 – $38.40 per hour. The actual compensation will be determined by experience and other factors permitted by the law.
