Job Title: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

Kesma Flame Lily is a culturally responsive and trauma-informed mental health provider that has served Ramsey County youth and families for over 7 years. Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our behavioral health team. The PMHNP will provide comprehensive mental health care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management for patients with psychiatric conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments.
  • Diagnose and manage mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and others.
  • Prescribe and manage medications, including initiating, adjusting, and monitoring treatment plans.
  • Order and interpret relevant laboratory tests and screenings.
  • Provide patient education on medication adherence, side effects, and lifestyle considerations.
  • Collaborate with therapists, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals for integrated care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and ethical standards for psychiatric care.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum one year in clinical practice as a PMNHP
  • Master's or higher degree in Nursing required
  • Certification prior to the Masters' degree requirement and current practice as a Nurse Practitioner in their area of specialization or documentation of current competency. Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Licensure/Certification(s) Mandatory
  • Current licensure as RN in State of Minnesota
  • Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner by a national nurse certification organization acceptable to the MN Board of Nursing:
  • Required: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners with prescriptive authority must be licensed, certified and/or registered as a Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner by the State of Minnesota
  • Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certificate
  • Current prescription and collaborative practice agreement with at least one collaborating physician

Work Environment:

  • Outpatient mental health clinic (or specify telehealth/hybrid if applicable).
  • Full-time or part-time options available.

Pay: $111, $134,127.78 per year
