About The Role

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, troubleshooting, and debugging interfaces for our next-generation SSD products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of firmware and software components, optimize build configurations, and implement continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Your expertise will be critical in automating routine tasks, maintaining system health, and ensuring the security and performance of our SSD firmware. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge memory technology, influence product development, and enhance operational efficiencies within a globally recognized innovator in data storage solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, preferably in embedded systems or SSD firmware environments.
  • Strong proficiency with GitHub for source code management and GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipelines.
  • Expertise in using CMake as a build automation tool.
  • Solid scripting skills in Python for automation and system management tasks.
  • Experience with system-level tools such as Docker, Linux Kernel, Windows Containers, and Kubernetes is preferred.
  • Knowledge of containerization and experience with Docker is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug interfaces for new and existing SSD products.
  • Interact with various tools and services including Docker, Linux Kernel, Windows Containers, Kubernetes, GitHub, and GitHub Actions to build, validate, and release embedded firmware efficiently.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure development goals and operational efficiency are aligned.
  • Implement branching strategies and code review processes to improve code quality and team collaboration.
  • Configure and maintain CI pipelines utilizing GitHub Actions to automate build, testing, and deployment processes.
  • Work closely with development teams to embed best practices for CI/CD within the firmware development lifecycle.
  • Optimize build configurations for enhanced performance and maintainability.
  • Develop custom dashboards and alerts to proactively monitor system health and address issues promptly.
  • Leverage Python scripting to automate routine tasks, deployment workflows, and system maintenance activities.
  • Conduct testing and validation of SSD firmware to ensure quality and security compliance.
  • Document security processes, best practices, and guidelines to uphold high standards of firmware integrity.
  • Take ownership of assigned features, managing them from conception through to deployment, demonstrating self-motivation and accountability.
