Delivery Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction, with experience in warehouse operations and commercial driving preferred. The Delivery Driver will operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles, handling heavy loads and navigating route driving with precision.

Duties

• Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles to deliver goods to customers across designated routes
• Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling techniques
• Ensure accurate loading of products according to delivery schedules and route plans
• Drive efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and company policies
• Provide exceptional customer service by delivering goods promptly and professionally
• Collect signatures or proof of delivery as required
• Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after routes to ensure safety and compliance
• Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation
• Assist with warehouse duties such as moving inventory, organizing stock, or preparing shipments when not on delivery routes

Experience

• Previous delivery driver experience preferred, especially with courier or route driving roles
• Experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles with manual transmission
• Warehouse experience including loading/unloading cargo, forklift operation, or pallet jack use is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
• Knowledge of safe driving practices and traffic regulations for commercial drivers
• Ability to lift heavy loads regularly and perform physical tasks such as moving inventory or cargo
• Familiarity with route planning and navigation tools is advantageous
