Brief Description:
The Human Resource Manager is directly responsible for the overall management, administration, coordination, evaluation and continuous improvement of the human resource function within the organization. This position guides, mentors & develops the employees within the department.
- Plan, direct and manage all Human Resource functions in a non-union manufacturing facility including but not limited to Talent Development & Retention, Employee Relations, Performance Management, Change Management, Comp & Benefits Administration, Policy Development & Implementation, Regulatory Compliance, etc.
- Promote and foster a positive work environment throughout the facility by supporting company values and effectively investigating concerns, complaints, or allegations, reporting conclusions and recommendations as appropriate.
- Provide leadership and counsel to management and associates alike as needed.
- Work closely with the management team in establishing and implementing HR policies, procedures and guidelines.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of progressive experience in a Human Resources Management capacity in a manufacturing environment.
- Human Resources experience in an aerospace environment preferred.
- Must be knowledgeable in California employment law.
- Ability to develop strong cross functional partnerships with management team members supporting organizational objectives while simultaneously serving as advocate for employees.
- Ability to support a fast-paced environment where competing demands and changing priorities are the norm.
- Ability to think and act analytically.
- Must be motivated self-starter with a sense of urgency, high priority on quality, attention to detail and achieving results.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills including listening, speaking and writing required.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience in Human Resources or related field.
- Proficient in MSOffice applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc).
- Ability to use mathematics to meet job requirements.
- Bilingual English-Spanish a plus.
- PHR or SPHR Certification a plus.
