Sales Associate

Overview
We are seeking a friendly, motivated Sales Associate to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service, strong communication skills, and the ability to promote products effectively. This role involves engaging with customers, demonstrating products, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Previous retail or grocery store experience is preferred, along with familiarity with POS systems and cash handling. Bilingual skills are a plus to assist a diverse customer base. The Sales Associate will play a key role in maintaining an organized sales floor through merchandising, stocking, and upselling techniques. Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to ensure satisfaction
• Operate POS systems accurately for sales transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties
• Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits
• Assist with merchandising and stocking shelves to maintain an attractive and organized sales floor
• Upsell products to maximize sales opportunities while meeting customer needs
• Maintain proper phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone or in person
• Perform basic retail math calculations for transactions and inventory management
• Supervise or assist in supervising team members when required, ensuring smooth store operations
• Support inventory management through stock replenishment and product placement strategies

Experience

• Previous experience in retail sales, grocery stores, or similar customer service roles preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and cashiering procedures
• Experience with product demos, upselling techniques, and merchandising strategies beneficial
• Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities to serve diverse customers effectively
• Supervising experience is a plus but not mandatory; leadership qualities are valued
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and excellent phone etiquette
• Basic math skills for daily transactions and retail math calculations required
