We are seeking a dedicated Laundry Attendant to join our team. The Laundry Attendant promotes a positive image of the property by cleaning, sanitizing, inspecting, folding, and storing hotel laundry, while also maintaining accurate inventory records.

Job Responsibilities

  • Launder linens, towels, and cleaning cloths using correct equipment settings
  • Fold and store linens and towels according to brand standards
  • Inspect linens for stains, discoloration, or tears; pull any items not meeting standards
  • Maintain accurate inventory records
  • Distribute laundered cleaning cloths
  • Report maintenance deficiencies to Maintenance and/or the Executive Housekeeper
  • Stock and maintain linen supply rooms as needed
  • Perform deep-cleaning tasks and special projects as needed
  • Assist in cleaning guest rooms when necessary
  • Complete all brand-specific training within required timeframes
  • Achieve and exceed guest satisfaction score goals
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding company operations, financials, guest information, and employee matters

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently interacts with guests and team members. The position may involve occasional exposure to infectious waste, diseases, medical conditions, and cleaning chemicals.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to bend, reach, kneel, push, stretch, and lift/carry up to 25 lbs
  • Ability to stand or walk for up to 8 hours and work in restrictive environments
  • Vision capability for both near and far tasks
  • Comfortable using a step stool or ladder
  • Ability to lift and use arms for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
  • Ability to work in heat and stressful conditions
  • Finger dexterity for operating equipment
  • Clear, understandable speaking ability; basic hearing; English comprehension
  • Ability to write clearly

Required Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Customer service experience

Work Authorization

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
