Barista

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team in delivering exceptional coffee and food service experiences. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service, food industry knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, cash handling, and customer engagement while contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and consistency
• Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
• Handle food and beverage orders efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness
• Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about products, and provide excellent customer service
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and dining areas in accordance with health standards
• Manage cash register transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations
• Restock supplies as needed and ensure the timely preparation of food items
• Follow food safety guidelines during food handling and preparation processes

Skills

• Previous Barista experience or background in the food industry is preferred
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
• Proficiency with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for efficient order processing
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders during busy periods
• Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and measuring ingredients
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication skills to engage with customers and team members effectively
