Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Contract Administrator to oversee the lifecycle of contracts within our organization. This role involves managing procurement processes, vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation skills, expertise in contract management systems, and a solid understanding of legal frameworks such as UCC law and Federal Acquisition Regulations. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to strategic business development and ensure the integrity of contractual agreements across various departments.
Duties
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts including procurement agreements, vendor contracts, and service agreements.
- Manage document workflows using systems such as DocuSign, Salesforce, PeopleSoft, and ERP platforms to ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance.
- Oversee contract lifecycle from initiation through renewal or termination, including change management processes.
- Conduct thorough document reviews to verify terms, conditions, and legal compliance.
- Collaborate with legal teams on intellectual property law, UCC law, and federal regulations to ensure contractual adherence.
- Maintain comprehensive records management for all contractual documents and correspondence.
- Engage in vendor management activities to evaluate performance and enforce contractual obligations.
- Lead negotiations with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to secure favorable terms while managing risk.
- Support business development initiatives through proposal writing, pricing strategies, and strategic planning efforts.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations such as Federal Acquisition Regulations and contractor management standards.
- Assist in research activities related to market trends, legal updates, and industry best practices to inform contract strategies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in procurement, contract management, or legal drafting within a corporate or government setting.
- Strong knowledge of contract law including UCC law, Federal Acquisition Regulations, and intellectual property law.
- Proficiency with contract management tools such as Salesforce, DocuSign, ERP systems (e.g., PeopleSoft), and other document review platforms.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to manage complex contractual negotiations effectively.
- Experience in vendor management, change management, and records management processes.
- Ability to interpret legal documents accurately and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Strong analytical skills coupled with strategic thinking for business development initiatives.
- Effective communication skills for proposal writing, technical writing, and stakeholder engagement.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, or related field; advanced certifications or experience in legal or contract management preferred. This role is integral to maintaining the integrity of our contractual operations while supporting our strategic growth objectives through effective contract administration practices.
Pay: $50, $60,767.85 per year
