Project Manager

Overview:
The Project Manager (PM) oversees a variety of product pipelines from quote initiation to NGS data delivery. The PM will manage NGS projects, interfacing with multiple teams and systems to resolve technical and logistical issues ensuring that all project deliverables meet stakeholder expectations and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project lead for research NGS projects.
• Manage a high volume of projects at various time points using project management tools and software to track, troubleshoot, and ensure deadlines are met.
• Provide exceptional stakeholder experience through effective communication with cross-functional teams and high-quality customer service.
• Review and analyze project reports at each checkpoint of the product pipeline to monitor progress and proactively resolve issues.
• Assign directives to project lifecycle teams ensuring project deliverables are met
• Collaborate with other departments to achieve revenue goals by providing technical answers, customer support, and project insights.
• Be a leader, drive improvements and optimizations.

Required Competencies:

• A BS degree in a STEM-related field.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant work experience in project management, technical support, product specialist, or a similar role.
• Advanced Proficiency in English. Must possess excellent spoken and written English skills.
• A team player with strong leadership skills. Must handle constructive feedback to adapt to company goals and objectives.
• Experience in client-facing customer service and cross-department communications.
• Experience meeting strict deadlines for simultaneous project deliverables.
• Advanced proficiency with MS Office software (Outlook, Project, Excel, Word, PP, etc.) and ability to learn new software and tools.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of non-academic experience in project management, technical support, or product specialist in the biotech field.
• Project management certifications such as PMP, CAPM, etc. are preferred.
• Strong background in Genetics, Molecular Biology, or related NGS research fields.
• Experience working with research papers and validating various NGS methods and protocols.
• In-depth understanding of various nucleic acid-based procedures such as PCR, WGS, WES, RNA seq and NGS.

Remote Position Requirements:

• Must be a resident of the USA.
• Preferred time zones:
  EST/CT, PST with flexibility to work EST time zone.
• Professional home workspace.
