Driver/Helper

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Drivers & Helpers to join our team. In this role, you will assist drivers in the transportation and delivery of goods, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical knowledge and have experience with various types of furniture. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the driver in loading and unloading cargo from vehicles.
• Ensure that all deliveries are made on time and in good condition.
• Assist with assembly of furniture.
• Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the vehicle.
• Operate equipment such as pallet jacks/dolly/Hand truck as needed for loading/unloading.
• Communicate effectively with the driver and warehouse staff to coordinate deliveries.
• Support the driver in performing pre-trip inspections on vehicles.
• Assist with any necessary paperwork related to deliveries.
• Follow safety protocols and regulations at all times.

Requirements

• Mechanical knowledge is preferred to assist with basic vehicle maintenance.
• Experience operating box trucks, lift gates.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations is beneficial.
• Ability to operate a pallet jack safely and efficiently.
• Ability to lift pounds
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and clients.
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks as required.
• A valid driver's license may be required depending on specific duties.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $ $250.00 per day
