Location:
Bethel, CT (Onsite)


Schedule:
8 hours/day starting at 8:00 AM (Monday–Friday)


Contract:
12 months (potential for extension)


Overtime:
Not required


Work Model:
Onsite only (after ~6 months, a hybrid schedule may be discussed; no remote)

We're seeking a
Design Engineer II
to support the design and development of new products and systems in a collaborative engineering environment. This role is ideal for a mid-level engineer who enjoys hands-on design work, analysis, and working closely with manufacturing and quality teams to bring products from concept through production.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and support the
    design and development of new products or systems
    from concept to production
  • Create detailed
    CAD models and drawings
    for components and assemblies
  • Perform
    engineering analysis
    , including FEA, tolerance analysis, and simulations
  • Collaborate with
    product management, manufacturing, and quality
    teams to ensure design requirements are met
  • Participate in
    design reviews
    and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians
  • Troubleshoot and resolve design issues through iterative testing and analysis
  • Ensure designs comply with
    industry standards, regulations, and best practices
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to design quality and manufacturability

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in
    Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • 3–6 years
    of experience in product design, engineering, or a similar role
  • Strong proficiency in
    CAD software
    (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or equivalent)
  • Solid understanding of
    engineering principles and design fundamentals
  • Hands-on experience with
    engineering analysis tools and techniques
  • Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a
    cross-functional team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Experience with
    PLM systems
  • Familiarity with
    DFM/DFA principles
  • Knowledge of relevant
    industry standards and regulations
  • Experience with
    rapid prototyping and additive manufacturing
