We are looking for enthusiastic and diligent Picker/Packers to join our dynamic logistics team in Kansas City, Missouri. As a Picker/Packer, you will be instrumental in fulfilling customer orders by accurately picking items from our vast inventory and preparing them for shipment. This role requires a combination of speed, accuracy, and a strong commitment to safety. You will utilize scanning technology to ensure order precision and contribute to the overall efficiency of our warehouse operations. We value individuals who are detail-oriented, proactive, and possess a strong work ethic. This is a key position that directly impacts customer satisfaction and the success of our logistics network.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick designated items from warehouse shelves based on order specifications.
- Use RF scanners and other technology to ensure correct product selection and quantity.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Verify order details and product information before and after picking/packing.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock checks as required.
- Ensure proper use of all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve daily operational goals.
- Adhere to all lifting guidelines and safe handling procedures to prevent injury and product damage within our logistics hub.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to order accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout the shift.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles and warehouse safety.
- Willingness to follow all safety regulations and wear required PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
