We are looking for a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our bustling warehouse in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In this critical role, you will be responsible for safely operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your expertise will ensure the smooth flow of goods within our facility, contributing directly to the efficiency of our logistics operations. You will handle a variety of materials and products, requiring precision and adherence to strict safety guidelines. This position is essential for maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring that products are staged correctly for shipment or further processing. We emphasize a strong safety culture and expect all team members to be vigilant in their operations.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move and transport materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods.
- Accurately locate, stack, and retrieve inventory items.
- Perform routine checks on forklift equipment to ensure safe operation; report any issues immediately.
- Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring clear pathways for movement.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff and supervisors to optimize workflow and meet production targets in our logistics hub.
- Follow all instructions regarding lifting and handling of specific materials.
- Ensure all operations comply with company safety standards and environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain one.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Excellent knowledge of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong understanding of logistics and inventory control principles.
- Commitment to a safe work environment and consistent use of PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
