Join our vibrant team in Miami, Florida, as a skilled Forklift Operator. In this essential role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, moving materials within the warehouse, and ensuring that all operations comply with safety regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a valid forklift operator certification, a proven track record of safe operation, and a strong understanding of warehouse logistics. You must be physically capable of performing the tasks required and committed to maintaining a secure work environment. This is a critical position within our logistics network, ensuring the smooth flow of goods and upholding our high standards for safety and efficiency. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, rail cars, or company vehicles.
- Move, stack, and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Assist with order picking and put-away processes.
- Conduct daily pre-operational inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Maintain accurate records of materials moved and inventory locations.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Proper use and maintenance of safety equipment, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to ensure efficient workflow.
- Participate in ongoing safety training and logistics discussions.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA-compliant).
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and occasional Lifting as needed.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Knowledge of logistics and material handling principles.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
