Our Salt Lake City facility is looking for a diligent Material Handler to contribute to our bustling logistics operations. As a Material Handler, you will play a vital role in the movement of goods within our warehouse. This includes loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials to and from various departments, and ensuring inventory is organized and accessible. You will be trained on various equipment and safety procedures to ensure a secure and productive workday. We are committed to providing a safe working environment, including mandatory use of appropriate PPE. Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport raw materials and finished goods throughout the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Organize and store materials in designated areas, ensuring proper stock rotation.
- Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure proper working order and report any issues.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area to enhance safety and efficiency.
- Support logistics team in various material handling tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience operating material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) is advantageous.
- Must be able to handle physical demands, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated understanding of safety protocols in a warehouse setting.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively.
- A strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment is paramount.
