We are looking for a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our logistics operations in Durham, North Carolina. The Receiving Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring that all incoming shipments are accurately processed, documented, and stored. You will be the first point of contact for goods entering our warehouse, responsible for verifying contents against purchase orders, inspecting for damage, and properly entering data into our inventory management system. This position requires a high level of accuracy, efficiency, and a commitment to maintaining organized records. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments.
- Verify contents of shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Document any discrepancies, damages, or shortages.
- Enter receiving data accurately into the warehouse management system.
- Label and stage received goods for put-away.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments regarding receiving issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and proper use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency with data entry and inventory management software.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain processes.
- Commitment to safety standards and proper use of PPE.
