We are hiring Picker/Packers for our busy logistics hub in Chicago, Illinois. This role is fundamental to our order fulfillment process, requiring individuals who are meticulous and driven to ensure accuracy and efficiency. You will be responsible for preparing customer orders for shipment in a dynamic warehouse setting.
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently pick products from inventory using order sheets or RF scanners.
- Pack products with care, ensuring they are secure for transit and meet quality standards.
- Verify order accuracy before packing and shipping.
- Apply shipping labels and other necessary documentation to packages.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, adhering to all logistics best practices.
- Understand and implement safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Contribute to meeting daily order fulfillment targets.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and assist with stock organization.
- Perform duties involving lifting up to 45 lbs on a regular basis.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is a plus.
- Proficiency in using RF scanners and warehouse management systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
- Must be able to handle repetitive lifting of items up to 45 lbs.
- A strong understanding of and adherence to safety procedures, including correct PPE usage.
