We are hiring a Picker/Packer for our busy warehouse in Fort Worth, Texas. This role is essential for ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and efficiently. You will be responsible for retrieving items from warehouse shelves based on order specifications and carefully packing them for shipment. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and works with a sense of urgency. As a Picker/Packer, you are a critical link in our logistics chain, contributing directly to customer satisfaction. We emphasize a safe work environment and require adherence to all safety standards, including the proper use of PPE. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from inventory using pick lists or scanning devices.
- Inspect picked items for quality and accuracy.
- Pack items securely into appropriate shipping cartons, ensuring product protection.
- Verify that packed orders match order requirements.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for dispatch.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Meet or exceed established productivity and accuracy targets.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Communicate any issues, discrepancies, or concerns to supervisors.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or picking/packing experience is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods.
- Must be able to perform moderate lifting (up to 30 lbs).
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the proper use of PPE.
- Team-oriented and able to work effectively with colleagues.
