Landscaper/Groundskeeper

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Landscaper/Groundskeeper to maintain the beauty and health of outdoor spaces in Abbotsford. This role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions to ensure that landscapes are well-kept, safe, and visually appealing. The ideal candidate will have a passion for gardening, landscaping, and outdoor maintenance, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Duties

• Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, edging, and pruning using hand tools and power tools
• Maintain lawns, gardens, flower beds, and shrubbery to ensure healthy growth and aesthetic appeal
• Use gardening equipment such as hedge trimmers, leaf blowers, and lawnmowers safely and effectively
• Assist with planting new greenery, fertilizing, mulching, and seasonal clean-up activities
• Conduct routine inspections of outdoor areas for hazards or maintenance needs and address them promptly
• Support general groundskeeping tasks including debris removal, weed control, and soil preparation

Qualifications

• Prior experience in landscaping, gardening, or groundskeeping is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
• Knowledge of horticulture principles and landscape maintenance techniques is a plus
• Familiarity with hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and gardening shears
• Experience operating power tools including trimmers, blowers, and lawnmowers is desirable
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions with physical stamina for lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality
• A valid driver's license is Required for this Role.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
