Production Programmer

Overview

Daybar Industries is currently seeking a Production Programmer to join our growing team in Toronto, Ontario.

Daybar is in search of an individual with experience working in an automated manufacturing environment.

Experience in the hollow metal, Section 8 (openings), or building product sectors would be beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Review new work orders, drawings and hardware templates and other specifications
• Develop manufacturing and processing programs
• Develop computer applications for machines and processes;
• Generate and develop automation programs (G Code).
• Work closely with fellow programmers and production staff
• Read and produce drawings using CAD tools (AutoCAD, BricsCAD, Solidworks)

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will:

• have 3-5 Years experience in a manufacturing job-shop environment;
• have extensive CAD/CAM programming and drawing knowledge;
• ability to read and interpret technical drawings;
• be able to understand, edit and modify G code;
• preferably have previous hollow-metal, commercial doors or related industry experience;
• possess problem solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills;
• ensure compliance with standards and specifications;
• have a high attention to detail and accuracy;
• have strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task;
• Sense of urgency towards meeting deadlines.
