Server/Cashier

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Cashier to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced food service environment. This role involves providing excellent customer service, handling transactions accurately, and supporting food preparation and sanitation efforts. Ideal candidates will have experience in food industry settings, strong communication skills, and a passion for delivering memorable dining experiences. Prior experience with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is a plus, along with a solid understanding of food safety and sanitation standards. This position offers an opportunity to develop versatile skills in both serving and cashiering within a vibrant restaurant or café setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using POS systems like Aloha or Micros
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and process payments efficiently and securely
• Assist with food preparation, including basic food handling and sanitation practices
• Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
• Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation
• Clear tables, bus tables, and assist with general restaurant cleanliness to ensure a sanitary environment
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to provide quick service without compromising quality
• Follow all food safety protocols, including proper sanitation, storage, and handling procedures
• Support kitchen staff with basic tasks as needed in a fast-paced quick service or fast food restaurant setting

Experience

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or retail environments preferred but not required
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is advantageous
• Experience in food preparation, cashiering, serving, or food handling is highly desirable
• Strong skills in customer service, upselling, and sales techniques
• Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor to ensure positive customer interactions
