WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Own all accounting, statutory, tax, treasury, and operational finance responsibilities for Hugo's US operations while managing consolidated financial reporting and the group audit or reviews for Hugo Technologies Inc.

Ensure accurate and compliant financials under US GAAP, maintain strong internal controls, and coordinate with Africa-based finance teams for intercompany funding, IFRS–US GAAP conversion, and local audit support.

Drive automation, working capital discipline, and scalable processes that improve accuracy, cash efficiency, and
financial insight across the group

Key Responsibilities:

1. US Accounting & Reporting

• Own the US entity's books, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and timely, accurate financial statements.
• Manage month-end close, reconciliations, and revenue recognition.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for consolidation and internal decision-making.
• Maintain disciplined accounting processes and strengthen controls as the business scales.

2. Group Consolidation & Audit
- Coordinate the group consolidation under US GAAP, incorporating IFRS-based Africa subsidiaries.
- Coordinate external financial reviews and audit readiness, ensuring all entities maintain documentation, reconciliations, and controls that meet auditor, lender or investor standards.
