Field Service Technician

To support Ranpak outside technicians and customers through machine installations, trouble shooting, supplying of parts and other functions as needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot customer machine problems over the phone to successful resolution.
• Generate service orders for required parts needed in the field and close them upon shipment.
• Support on-site installations of equipment as needed.
• Ability to travel as required to end users to perform trouble-shooting, installations or other service activities (up to

60%). Have, or able to obtain a passport.

• Handle and process returned service parts

• Create reports for supervisor or other departments as needed using BAAN, MS Office, etc.

• Submit expense and trip reports in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• One year certificate from college or technical school; or 2 to 5 years related experience and/or

equivalent training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Ability to read blueprints & schematics.
• Ability to use computer applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Electronics knowledge. Preferred: Certification in Electronics.
• Even temperament with customers and coworkers.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• Logical thinking.

• Strong Mechanical aptitude.
