 POSITION OVERVIEW  
Support and assist the Management Team and employees by performing duties to ensure effective and efficient lending operations.

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1.    Satisfactory completion of all basic Credit Union required coursework in a timely manner.
2.    Perform lending operations support functions which include, but are not limited to:
a.    Review loan applications from all channels including credit reports, income verification, collateral value.
b.    Performing loan quality control audits for consumer and residential real estate loans, track funded loans to ensure staff accuracy, provide recommendations for training needed and also monitoring system accuracy. 
c.    Identify files that need corrections and monitor loan corrections performed by staff. 
d.    Balancing designated general ledgers as assigned to position.
e.    Make or recommend final loan decisions as determined by lending authority.
3.    Become efficient in report generation, with the ability to prepare and disseminate.
4.    Become a product expert in all loan programs Old West offers. Continually further individual education through online and in person training regarding consumer lending and loan processing system.
5.    Be available to lending staff, provide assistance and support for consumer and residential real estate loan related issues.
6.    Actively participate in security, robbery, disaster recovery training, and any other required meetings and trainings.
7.    Communicate in a respectful, professional, and timely manner in person over the phone, and via e-mail with all team members and Credit Union members.
8.    With your supervisor, consistently set and achieve specified goals.
9.    Assist with departmental duties, training and audits as needed, requested, or required.
10.    Represent the Credit Union with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
11.    Contribute to a favorable public image of the Credit Union by establishing and maintaining professional relationships and participating in community and business development activities.
12.    Support Management and member decisions and goals in a positive, professional manner.
13.    Actively contribute to Credit Union and department team goals and functions.
14.    Must complete training and become competent with BSA, OFAC, Customer Identification, and all applicable lending regulations.  Must adhere to all credit union policies and procedures, federal and state regulations, and other compliance regulations in all areas.
15.    Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle. Travel to other branches as needed. Possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
16.    Perform other duties as assigned.

INTERACTION AND ENVIRONMENT
Reports To:  VP of Consumer Lending
Work areas are inside, in a climate-controlled environment with moderate background noise.  Position may involve travel to multiple worksites and extended work hours as needed and designated by management.

 PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Sitting/Mobility: Approximately 80% of the time is spent working at a desk.  Balance of time (approximately 20%) is spent moving around work areas.
Communication: Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, members and outside agencies in writing, in person and over the phone.
Vision: Ability to effectively use a computer screen and interpret printed materials, memos and other appropriate paperwork.
Lifting/Carrying: Ability to transport files and office supplies.
Stooping/Kneeling: Ability to access files and supplies in low cabinets and shelves.
Reaching/Handling: Ability to input information into computer systems and retrieve and work with appropriate paperwork, equipment and supplies.

 PROFICIENCIES
1.    Outstanding written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person and over the phone.
2.    Ability to use sophisticated word processing and computer database skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
3.    Excellent personal skills with the ability to effectively lead and work with individuals and groups at all organization levels; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
4.    Ability to exercise good judgment, initiative and tact in dealing with members, staff, management and outside contacts.
5.    Ability to take initiative, assume responsibility, and prioritize tasks; excellent time-management, problem-prevention and problem-solving skills.

13.    Ability to complete or resume tasks despite interruptions.

  EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
1.    High School Diploma or equivalent; and
2.    Three (3) years of banking experience; and
3.    Must be bondable.
