Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Infant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. We are a small center that feels like a tight knit family. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood development and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the development of infant-aged children. (3 months to 18 months) You will be responsible for implementing age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development through play.

We are open 7am to 5pm and follow the local school district's schedule as a guide.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement activities that align with early childhood education standards.
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment for all children.
  • This role requires patience and a deep understanding of infant development.
  • The infant teacher is responsible for making sure the classroom, diaperings, feedings, and sleep time follow best practices.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support children's learning and development.
  • Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents on their child's development.
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom, ensuring all materials are safe and accessible.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

Qualifications:

  • 3-4 Years of previous experience working in an Infant / Early childhood Classroom
  • Previous experience working with children in an infant classroom or daycare setting is required.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Familiarity with behavior management techniques and caregiving practices for young children.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff members.
  • A degree in ECE
  • Or an infant/toddler CDA is required.
