We are seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Receptionist/Office Assistant to join our team at Balance & Vestibular Center Physical Therapy, where we specialize in treating patients with vestibular and neurologic disorders. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome patients and visitors with a warm and friendly demeanor.
Provide excellent customer service by answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and addressing inquiries.
Maintain patient records accurately and confidentially.
Assist with patient check-ins and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed.
Coordinate with therapists and other staff members to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient scheduling.
Collect patient payments and insurance information, verifying coverage and eligibility.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure optimal patient care and overall office efficiency.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in medical office administration is a plus.
Proven experience as a receptionist or in a similar customer service role.
Spanish speaking (required)
Previous experience in a physical therapy or healthcare setting (1 year)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other office software.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of medical insurance procedures and billing practices.
