Warehouse Coordinator & Driver.

Location: Cranbury, New Jersey
Job Type: Full-time
Salary range: 21-23 per hour.

Who are we?

At Nomad Group, our legacy spans over three decades as a beacon in framing construction, where sustainability is as integral to our work as the structures we build. Pioneers in the industry, we serve the NY/NJ/PA tri-state area with a keen focus on eco-friendly wood and light-gauge steel frame construction. Here, your potential to contribute to sustainable and world-class quality projects knows no bounds. As a part of our team, you'll join us in our commitment to not just meet but exceed customer expectations through sustainable practices that ensure our projects endure in harmony with the environment. As framing contractors, our scope of work typically includes everything from the construction of floors, walls, roofs, sheathing, soffits and facias to the installation of doors, windows and stairs.

The Role: Warehouse Coordinator & Driver

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented individual to manage our construction inventory and materials, while also handling local deliveries and transport in our small flatbed truck. This is a crucial, full-time position ensuring our construction sites receive the right materials at the right time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management: Efficiently manage, organize, and track all construction materials and equipment within the Cranbury warehouse.
  • Receiving & Dispatch: Process incoming inventory (unloading, inspection, documentation) and prepare materials for outbound deliveries to job sites.
  • Logistics & Driving: Operate a small flatbed truck to safely transport materials, tools, and equipment to various project locations within the tri-state area.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate inventory records and delivery logs, utilizing simple warehouse management tools or systems.
  • Maintenance: Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe according to company standards. Perform basic checks and maintenance on the flatbed truck.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, or a related field, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Valid and clean Driver's License (Standard/CDL is NOT required but a plus).
  • Demonstrable ability to safely operate a small flatbed truck and navigate local/regional routes.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to $50$ lbs) and stand for extended periods.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory logging and communication.
  • Ability to work effectively in a part-time capacity, with a reliable schedule.
  • Carpentry experience: Preferred.
