Under supervision, the Endoscopy Technician safely performs endoscopic procedural assistance and ensures a safe environment.  A variety of patient care duties include positioning, patient observation, taking vital signs, and other duties that assist the Registered Nurse. Under close supervision, technical endoscopic assistance to General Surgeons and Gastroenterologists as well as other Endoscopic providers and staff will be provided.  Additional responsibilities include facilitating patient flow and transportation, stocking rooms, ordering supplies, answering phones, and performing a variety of clerical tasks. This is not intended to be a comphehensive list of all the duties the technician may be required to perform while assisting in routine procedures.   Clinical Staff work directly under the supervision of the operating Surgeon or Gastrointestional Practitioner and will be under the supervision of the Nurse for proper aseptic technique and adherence to operating room rules and regulations.

Required Qualifications:

  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • 6 months Endoscopy Procedure Technician experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of a certified nursing course, medical assistant course, or related health care class.
  • 1 year general clerical and patient care experience in a health care setting.
