CDL driver car hauling

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and responsible CDL driver specializing in car hauling to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles across various routes using specialized equipment. Your expertise will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailers equipped for car hauling, including manual transmission trucks, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of vehicles.
• Load and unload vehicles onto flatbed or specialized carriers, utilizing forklifts or other equipment as needed.
• Drive route-driven deliveries across designated areas, adhering strictly to traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Secure vehicles properly using tie-downs, straps, and other securing devices to prevent movement during transit.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, trailer, and load to identify any safety issues or maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate logs of mileage, fuel consumption, delivery times, and vehicle condition reports.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickups and deliveries while providing exceptional service.

Requirements

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for tractor-trailers and vehicle types such as refrigerated trailers or tanker trucks.
• Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with freight transportation involving load & unload operations.
• Familiarity with manual transmission trucks and various trailer types including flatbed, refrigerated, tanker, dump truck, roll-off truck, and flatbed trailers.
• Ability to operate forklifts or similar equipment for loading/unloading vehicles when necessary.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures related to driving large commercial vehicles and handling freight securely.
• Excellent route driving skills with a focus on punctuality and customer satisfaction.
• Physical ability to load/unload vehicles manually or with equipment; comfortable working in different weather conditions.
