Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking to hire an experienced maintenance technician to add to our team, to start immediately, for apartments in downtown Springfield, MO. Main duties will be to help with maintenance work orders, painting, drywall, and working on apartment make readies, and other general repairs and cleaning. Must be able to lift 50 lbs., climb a tall ladder, be on roof tops, and work hard. Must have basic tools. No smoking on the job site. Can not be on your phone during work. Must be timely, able to take direction and have VALID DRIVERS LICENSE AND RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION (this is a requirement). Must pass criminal background check. Some work will be done outside in the heat/cold. Must have appropriate clothing. approximately 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Residential and commercial property maintenance

• Keep maintenance area clean and organized

• Air filter changes/minor HVAC repairs

• Basic appliance repair

• Plumbing knowledge

• Painting

• Carpentry

• Trash removal

• Make ready on move-out rentals

• Flooring repairs

• Any other duties assigned by management and office team

Requirements:

High School diploma or GED

2+ years of maintenance or construction experience

Ability to bend, stoop, lift, carry, push or pull over 50 lbs repeatedly

Ability to respond to afterhours emergencies

Valid Driver's License and current insurance

HVAC certification a plus but not required
