Job Summary:
Harnden Construction Services, LLC is a civil site contractor that performs construction projects throughout PA, MD, and VA. Our mission is to build strong communities through project execution, construction employment, and community service. Our staff has extensive knowledge in sitework construction, heavy earthwork, underground utility installation, and structural excavation. We are looking to add valued members to our office team due to our growing work volume.
As a Project Coordinator on our team, you will have the opportunity to assist with diverse and complex administrative duties to aide in the successful preconstruction effort and execution of a wide range of construction projects in the government, commercial, and private sectors, ranging in magnitude from >$1M to $20M. You will be joining our team as we pursue and perform construction opportunities throughout Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania.

The ideal candidates would have strong communication skills with keen attention to detail and be a team-oriented individual. This position is based in our corporate office in Harrisburg, PA. Successful passing of a background check and drug testing will be required as a condition of employment due to many of our project sites being restricted-access government facilities.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Under direct supervision, be able to competently assist project managers and estimators with administrative tasks as assigned, to include, but not limited to the following:
Preconstruction & Project Management
· Prepare project documentation necessary to turnover a project from preconstruction to operations
· Process meeting minutes and organize project files for record purposes.
· Assist in preparing submittals for new projects.
· Complete quantity takeoffs
· Process work orders for T&M activities
· Assist with obtaining proposals from vendors/subcontractors for buyouts
· Research contract and specification requirements to assist with daily ongoing work
· Assist with Construction Scheduling utilizing Microsoft Project
· Assist in preparing invoicing and lien waivers
· Assist with required supporting documentation for bid submissions
Qualifications:
· Minimum of 1-2 years of construction administration experience is preferred. Less or no experience may be considered for the right candidate who displays a willingness to learn.
· Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
· High school diploma required. An associate or bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or related field of study is preferred; prior industry experience will also be considered.
· Familiarity with site construction is preferred but not required.
· Ability to use Bluebeam to manipulate PDF documents and assist in quantity takeoffs.
· Familiarity with HCSS programs, HeavyBid & HeavyJob Manager, is preferred but not required.
· Familiarity with SmartBid is preferred but not required.
· Must be a U.S. citizen for restricted site access
