Experienced Electrical Apprentice

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Apprentice to join our team, supporting electrical installation, maintenance, and repair projects across various commercial, industrial, and residential sites. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong foundation in electrical systems to develop their skills further within a dynamic and safety-conscious environment. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working on construction sites, familiarity with electrical schematics, and a solid understanding of both low and high voltage systems. This paid position is integral to ensuring the successful completion of projects while adhering to all safety standards and electrical codes.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute wiring layouts and system configurations.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as ohmmeters to test, troubleshoot, and diagnose electrical issues.
• Work with low voltage and high voltage systems in compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
• Support the installation of conduit, wiring, switches, outlets, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
• Follow safety protocols on construction sites, including proper handling of electrical components and use of personal protective equipment.
• Assist with framing carpentry tasks related to electrical installations when necessary.
• Maintain a clean work environment and ensure all work complies with safety regulations and project specifications.

Skills

• Proven experience as an electrical apprentice.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems including low voltage and high voltage applications.
• Familiarity with NEC standards, schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and construction site procedures.
• Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, pliers), power tools (e.g., drills), and testing devices such as ohmmeters.
• Ability to work safely at heights and in confined spaces typical of construction environments.
• Experience working on construction sites with a focus on electrical installations.
• Basic knowledge of frame carpentry related to electrical framing or support structures is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in troubleshooting electrical issues. This position provides valuable hands-on experience for those looking to advance their careers in the electrical trade while contributing to meaningful projects across various industries.
