Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and bilingual (English/Spanish) Event Coordinator & Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational and communication skills, with a passion for creating beautiful event environments and delivering exceptional customer service. Experience in hospitality, banquet management, or catering is highly valued, along with strong negotiation and marketing abilities. Duties

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their event needs, preferences, and budgets
  • Plan and coordinate all aspects of event setup, including decor, layout, and theme design
  • Manage vendor relationships for catering, floral arrangements, entertainment, and other services
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure the best terms and services for clients
  • Oversee event marketing efforts to promote upcoming events through various channels
  • Upsell additional services or upgrades to enhance client satisfaction and event success
  • Ensure timely execution of event plans by coordinating with staff, vendors, and venue management
  • Handle guest services during events to ensure a positive experience for all attendees
  • Manage budgets effectively to stay within financial parameters while delivering quality results
  • Maintain organizational records including contracts, invoices, and planning documents
  • Set up and decorate venues according to client specifications while adhering to safety standards
  • Provide on-site supervision during events to troubleshoot issues promptly and ensure smooth operations

Experience

  • Proven experience in event planning, coordination, or related hospitality roles such as banquet management or catering
  • Strong background in event marketing, promotion, or fundraising activities is advantageous
  • Familiarity with contracts negotiation, budgeting, and vendor management processes
  • Previous experience working in restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environments preferred
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish are required for effective client interactions
  • Demonstrated ability in time management and organizational skills to handle multiple events simultaneously
  • Experience decorating for various types of events including weddings, corporate functions, or social gatherings is desirable
  • Knowledge of guest services standards within hospitality settings will be beneficial

Pay: $ $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5.0 – 10.0 per week
