Market Risk Senior Developer SME

This senior-level position plays a key role across the software development lifecycle—analyzing, designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining critical applications that support Market and Credit Risk business functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate
  Java/Groovy components
  within a fixed-income technology stack (in-house systems + vendor platforms like
  ION, Bloomberg, Polypaths, Murex
  ).
• Capture user requirements and design, test, deploy, and maintain applications.
• Participate in architecture design and implementation of complex components.
• Execute system analysis, create detailed design specs, and perform unit, component, and integration testing.
• Ensure technical compliance with system requirements, security standards, and business objectives.
• Provide advanced engineering and support across teams.
• Promote best practices, technology standards, and continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Expertise

• Strong proficiency in
  Java/Groovy
  ,
  Python
  , and
  systems integration
  .
• High proficiency with
  Java platform
  , OSS toolchains, and SQL.
• Familiarity with
  Git, Gradle, Camel, Kafka
  , and
  AWS (EC2, S3)
  .
• Ability to work in both
  Agile and Waterfall
  methodologies.
• Strong understanding of
  fixed income flows, valuations, and market products
  .
• Experience with
  ION, Bloomberg, Polypaths, Murex
  , or similar systems is a plus.
• Strong communication, presentation, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Proven experience developing and managing
  distributed multi-tier applications
  .

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in
  Computer Science
  , Information Technology, or related fields (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years
  of experience in IT, software development, or capital markets.
