Business Analyst

This individual will be under the direction of the Manager Ledger Systems and will be involved in analyzing output from U-Haul accounting systems that are integral to the monthly ledger close process. This individual will also be responsible for monitoring data file flows between U-Haul accounting systems and troubleshooting issues as they arise.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Monitor system processes and log results.
• Manage system data. Verify data accuracy and monitor, as updates or changes occur, to ensure data integrity.
• Generate reports and review for reliability.
• Update system configuration, as needed
• Assist project team in testing new development.
• Troubleshoot issues, as they arise, working with accounting staff or IT personnel.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• 1-2 years of experience in analytics, computers and/or accounting experience required.
• Some college experience in accounting or a related field or the equivalent in experience is preferred.

SKILLS/REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/TOOLS:

• Knowledge of computer systems and functionality, especially Excel.
• Must have excellent research and analysis skills
• Ability to work both in a group and independently and be detailed oriented.
• Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written), be able to multi-task and take initiative with projects.
• Must have excellent time management skills and be able to shift workload as necessary due to changing priorities.
• Must have the ability to think analytically and to act tactically.
