As a Senior Accounting Technician – CAS , you will play a key role in delivering full-cycle accounting services to a diverse client base. You will be responsible for bookkeeping, financial closings, government filings, and maintaining high-quality financial records, while acting as a trusted point of contact for clients and supporting junior team members.

What you'll do
- Perform full-cycle bookkeeping, from transactional recording through internal financial statements (monthly and annual)
- Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, trial balances, and month-end and year-end closings
- Reconcile bank accounts, accounts receivable and payable, credit cards, and intercompany loans
- Prepare, calculate, and file government remittances (GST/QST, payroll, DAS, and related filings)
- Maintain complete, accurate, and well-organized financial documentation in line with firm standards
- Use firm accounting tools efficiently (QuickBooks Desktop and Online, Sage 50, CaseWare, Write-Up, Acomba, ADP, Dayforce/Ceridian, Excel and Word)
- Manage assigned mandates independently while meeting budget, deadline, and quality expectations
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, government authorities, and internal stakeholders
- Support and mentor junior CAS team members as needed
What you need to succeed
- College diploma or relevant training in accounting
- 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Bilingual in English and French, both written and spoken, required
- Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage 50, CaseWare, Write-Up or equivalent)
- Experience with multi-entity and multi-currency accounting
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Availability to travel to client sites when required
