Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Interior Designer to lead interior design projects from concept through completion. This role requires a strong balance of design leadership, technical expertise, client management, and team mentorship. The successful candidate will play a key role in setting design direction, coordinating with consultants, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to a high design standard.

What You Will Do:

Design & Project Leadership

  • Lead the development of design concepts, narratives, and presentations aligned with project goals and brand standards
  • Translate conceptual ideas into well-resolved, buildable design solutions
  • Guide materiality, FF&E, finishes, lighting, and spatial planning decisions
  • Lead projects through all phases, including Concept, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documentation, and Construction Administration
  • Review and approve design work to ensure consistency, quality, and design intent

Technical Coordination & Delivery

  • Oversee the preparation and review of interior design drawing sets, specifications, and schedules
  • Coordinate closely with architects, consultants, contractors, and vendors
  • Review architectural, mechanical, electrical, and millwork drawings for alignment with interior design intent
  • Identify constructability issues early and collaborate with the project team to resolve them
  • Participate in site reviews, shop drawing reviews, and responses to RFIs

Team Leadership

  • Presenting design concepts and responding to feedback while maintaining design integrity
  • Mentor and support intermediate and junior designers through clear direction, feedback, and guidance
  • Assist with workload planning, resource coordination, and team development

What You Bring:

  • 10–12+ years of professional interior design experience, with a proven ability to lead projects independently from concept to completion
  • Experience across residential, hospitality, multi-family, and commercial projects
  • Excellent knowledge of materials, finishes, FF&E, custom millwork, and construction detailing
  • Highly refined design eye with a strong sense of style, trend awareness, and the ability to translate contemporary design influences into cohesive, market-relevant interiors. Supported by a well-developed portfolio
  • Strong technical understanding of construction methods, building codes, and accessibility standards. Experience working on projects in the USA including familiarity with U.S. consultants, codes, and construction processes
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (required), Adobe Creative Suite, and SketchUp or other 3D visualization tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong client-facing and presentation abilities
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative, with demonstrated leadership and mentorship skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture; NCIDQ certification preferred
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate within a team environment
  • Access to a vehicle

Salary Range:

$100,000 - $130,000
