Your Role:
The R&D organization is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Technical Project Manager to join our team. As a TPM, you will collaborate closely with engineering, product management and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects that align with our strategic objectives. You will also work with cross-functional teams as you support them by managing project timelines, tracking dependencies, and driving alignment on complex technical trade-offs. This role requires a thorough understanding of the software development life cycle and a proven ability to move technology projects forward while addressing and overcoming challenges.
Responsibilities:
Systemic Efficiency: Design and build the "R&D Operating System"—architecting Jira/Confluence/Slack integrations that eliminate manual overhead and automate status reporting.
Organizational Health: Examine functional issues from a systemic perspective; identify organizational gaps and design scalable solutions to improve R&D efficiency.
Data Leadership: Synthesize complex technical data into clear narratives, helping leadership make high-stakes trade-off decisions.
Predictability & Planning: Influence the long-term roadmap and resource allocation by translating technical constraints and organizational velocity into strategic insights.
Technical Governance: Partner with Engineering and Product leadership to lead the planning and execution of the technical initiatives
Job Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of related experience managing complex, multi-team dependencies across technical domains (e.g., API, Infrastructure, UI) and global time zones, using structured analysis to identify root causes, trade-offs, and resolution paths.
Strong experience in execution tracking and reporting
Minimum of 3 years of experience across the software development life cycle using methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or similar
Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate technical details into business-relevant narratives and influence decisions across engineering, product, and other business stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically across the organization - connecting program objectives to product strategy, customer outcomes, and long-term R&D efficiency.
Proven track record of identifying systemic bottlenecks in the R&D lifecycle and designing/implementing solutions that resulted in measurable improvements in the organization velocity and predictability.
Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and Slack, including automation, and dashboards to increase visibility, streamline workflows, and reduce manual overhead.
Ability to motivate teams to work effectively under a fast-paced and changing environment.
Strong work ethic, strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and supervising cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications:
5 years of hands-on experience as a software developer or software QA/test engineer
Agile, Scrum, or similar methodology certifications are a plus
Physical Requirements:
Working out of the Vancouver, BC office according to our "Global Hybrid Working Policy."
Travel Requirements:
May require up to 5% travel for team offsites or to headquarters
