As a Brand Designer you will elevate Cardata's brand from where it is today into a category-defining, industry-leading brand.
You'll be hired to thoughtfully evolve our visual identity, raise the bar on craft, and help build a brand system that scales with our growth. You'll take what exists today and push it forward, making Cardata more recognizable, more cohesive, and more compelling across every touchpoint. This This role is not about maintaining the status quo, it will report to the Vice President of Growth and have a clear line of sight between output and our performance as a business.
This is a flexible hybrid role with occasional in-office collaboration. Our office is a 10-minute walk from Union Station.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the evolution of Cardata's visual identity with the goal of building an industry-leading brand
- Raise the quality, consistency, and strategic impact of brand design across all channels
- Design and produce brand assets across web, social, lifecycle marketing, sales, partnerships, and events
- Build, document, and maintain scalable brand systems and guidelines that support a growing organization
- Translate brand strategy, positioning, and messaging into strong, distinctive visual expression
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to ensure brand excellence across product and marketing experiences
What You'll Bring
Required Experience- 3-5 years of experience in brand design, visual design, or a related role
- A portfolio that demonstrates elevating or evolving brands, not just executing assets
- Experience designing cohesive systems across multiple channels and surfaces
Skills & Strengths
- Strong brand instincts and a high bar for craft and detail
- Excellent understanding of typography, colour, layout, and visual hierarchy
- Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Slides, and Canva
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
- Comfortable owning ambiguous problems and shaping direction, not just following briefs
- Clear communicator who can explain design decisions and influence stakeholders
Nice to Have
- Functional proficiency in CMS platforms like Wordpress or Webflow
- Experience rebranding or significantly evolving an existing brand
- Background in SaaS, fintech, or B2B technology
- Motion design, illustration, or other media production experience
Compensation:
In line with Ontario's Pay Transparency legislation, the expected base compensation for this role is $90,000–$120,000 CAD annually with actual earnings dependent on experience, skills, and performance.This is a vacant position, and we are hiring with intention and seeking someone who will bring new perspective, contribute meaningfully to the team, and grow with the organization.
