We are seeking dedicated Material Handlers to join our team at our Portland, Oregon facility. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe movement of materials throughout our warehouse. Your duties will include receiving, storing, and distributing products, playing a crucial part in our overall logistics process. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to workplace safety. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Stack and arrange materials securely and efficiently.
- Assist with inventory control through accurate record-keeping and reporting.
- Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and safe, adhering to all safety regulations and the correct use of PPE.
- Identify and report any damaged goods or safety hazards.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals within the logistics department.
- Load finished goods onto trucks for shipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role preferred.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and practices.
- Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a physically demanding role.
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- A dedication to maintaining a safe and efficient logistics operation.
