Job Summary:
We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Houston, Texas. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your primary role will be to support warehouse operations by ensuring timely and accurate movement of goods, contributing to the smooth flow of our logistics network. You will be instrumental in maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring that all items are stored appropriately. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a commitment to safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse procedures and be adept at managing their time and tasks independently.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric pallet jacks) to move pallets of goods within the warehouse.
  • Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues or malfunctions.
  • Pick and stage orders for shipment according to pick lists.
  • Stack and organize merchandise in designated areas, ensuring proper storage and accessibility.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
  • Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, especially those related to safety and PPE.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification.
  • Ability to perform lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures and the correct use of PPE.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • A strong work ethic and commitment to teamwork.
