We are seeking dedicated and efficient Picker/Packers to join our high-volume logistics operation in San Jose, California. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving products from our extensive inventory and meticulously preparing them for shipment to our valued customers. You will work with advanced scanning technology and other warehouse equipment to ensure precision in every order. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from various warehouse locations according to customer orders.
- Utilize RF scanners to confirm picked items, quantities, and locations, ensuring inventory accuracy.
- Inspect products for quality and damage before packing.
- Package items securely and appropriately for shipment, using designated materials.
- Verify all order details and product information at multiple stages of the process.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe workspace, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Ensure consistent and correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stock replenishment.
- Follow all established lifting protocols and safe handling practices, as goods can vary significantly in weight and size within our logistics center.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a picker/packer role or warehouse environment is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with RF scanning technology and familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, stoop, and perform frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Solid understanding of logistics operations and warehouse safety standards.
- Commitment to safety best practices and diligent use of PPE.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
