We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in San Antonio, Texas. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently retrieving items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role is crucial to our supply chain operations, ensuring timely and correct shipments reach our clients. You will work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing various picking technologies and equipment to ensure precision. Your primary focus will be on picking items based on order slips, verifying product codes, and ensuring the quality and quantity of picked items. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety protocols. We value teamwork and encourage a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from designated warehouse locations according to order slips.
- Verify product codes, descriptions, and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Operate manual pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock checks as required.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to PPE and safety.
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues to a supervisor promptly.
- Ensure efficient workflow and contribute to team goals in the logistics department.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a demanding warehouse environment.
- Must be comfortable with lifting requirements of up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or order picking experience preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
- Good physical stamina and ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
