We are looking for enthusiastic Order Pickers to join our busy distribution center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently gathering items to fulfill customer orders. Your tasks will include using scanning devices, navigating the warehouse, and preparing orders for shipment. This position is crucial for our logistics operations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to our customers. We emphasize a strong safety culture and provide all necessary training, including comprehensive instruction on PPE and safe work practices. Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order slips or scanner information.
- Pack items securely for shipment, ensuring product integrity.
- Operate electric pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Verify picked items against order documentation to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, contributing to overall warehouse efficiency.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory checks and cycle counts as needed.
- Meet or exceed established picking and packing productivity goals.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to supervisors promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency in using handheld scanners and warehouse management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Commitment to safety and the correct use of PPE.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced logistics setting.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
