We are looking for a meticulous and organized Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team in San Antonio, Texas. This role is fundamental to our operations, as you will be the first point of contact for all incoming shipments. Your responsibilities will include accurately receiving, inspecting, and documenting all delivered goods, ensuring they match purchase orders and quality standards. You will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity of our inventory by promptly identifying and reporting discrepancies or damages. A commitment to Safety is essential; you must follow all established procedures and utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure a secure working environment. This role involves moderate Lifting and requires the ability to work efficiently in a busy warehouse setting. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments.
- Inspect goods for damage and discrepancies against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately record received items in the inventory management system.
- Tag and label all incoming merchandise.
- Report any damages, shortages, or discrepancies to management.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Operate pallet jacks and hand trucks as needed.
- Adhere to all warehouse Safety protocols and guidelines.
- Coordinate with other departments regarding incoming stock.
- Assist with inventory counts as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving or inventory control preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting tasks.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and data entry.
- Understanding of Safety procedures in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to wear appropriate PPE.
- Familiarity with logistics documentation is a plus.
