We are seeking a meticulous Receiving Clerk to join our team in Provo, Utah. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for accurately documenting and processing all incoming shipments, ensuring that inventory is received correctly and efficiently. Your role is critical in maintaining accurate inventory levels and supporting the overall logistics flow of our warehouse. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks and verify contents against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect received goods for damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Accurately record all received items into the inventory management system.
- Tag and label inventory for proper storage.
- Communicate any receiving discrepancies or issues to supervisors or relevant departments.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining the receiving area.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety procedures and guidelines, including the use of appropriate PPE.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Contribute to a safe and efficient work environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse role is preferred.
- Strong data entry and organizational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Basic understanding of inventory management principles.
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and invoices.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safety protocols.
- Familiarity with logistics processes is a plus.
