We are looking for a reliable Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team in Boise, Idaho. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing shipments, ensuring accuracy, and coordinating with carriers. Your duties will include verifying order details, packing items securely, generating shipping labels, and maintaining shipping records. This position is vital for ensuring our products reach customers efficiently and without damage. A keen eye for detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to safety are essential. Proper use of PPE is required at all times. This role offers a great opportunity to be part of our supply chain operations and contribute to customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Process outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Verify order details against packed items to ensure accuracy.
- Pack products securely for shipment, using appropriate materials and methods.
- Generate shipping labels and affix them to packages.
- Schedule and coordinate pick-ups with various shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, USPS).
- Maintain accurate shipping records and logs.
- Operate shipping equipment such as scales and pallet jacks.
- Communicate with internal departments and external carriers regarding shipping status.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Wear and utilize required PPE , such as safety glasses and gloves.
- Assist with receiving and other warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping or warehouse environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and online carrier platforms is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform tasks involving moderate physical activity, including occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with general warehouse operations and logistics procedures.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the use of PPE .
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
