Become a key player in our Omaha, Nebraska logistics operations as a Material Handler! We are looking for an energetic individual to support the efficient flow of goods within our warehouse. Your responsibilities will include moving materials, operating equipment, and ensuring inventory is stored and managed correctly. This role is vital for maintaining the speed and accuracy of our order fulfillment process. You will work closely with a dedicated team, contributing to a positive and productive work environment. Safety is our top priority, and compliance with all safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE, is non-negotiable. This position offers a chance to develop your skills in the fast-paced world of warehousing and logistics.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move goods.
- Load and unload materials from delivery vehicles.
- Transport materials to various warehouse locations for storage or processing.
- Organize and stack inventory in designated areas, ensuring stability and accessibility.
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory verification.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of obstructions.
- Follow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Report any safety concerns or equipment issues to supervisors.
- Support logistics activities as directed by management.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience operating material handling equipment is preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety best practices.
- Must be able to use and maintain required PPE.
- Understanding of basic logistics and warehousing operations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be reliable and committed to fulfilling duties.
