We are hiring a diligent Material Handler for our Charlotte facility, a crucial role in supporting our extensive logistics network. The Material Handler will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping of goods. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. You will work closely with the warehouse team to ensure that materials are moved, stored, and processed accurately and on time. The ideal candidate is a reliable team player with a strong work ethic and a proactive approach to tasks. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in warehouse operations and logistics. Strict adherence to all safety guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. The role involves significant lifting and movement of materials. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
- Stock and organize materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare shipments for transport, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Conduct cycle counts and assist with inventory management tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
- Perform tasks involving frequent lifting and moving of items up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Knowledge of basic warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Understanding of safety regulations and proper PPE usage.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
